42 Baptized at Picnic & Baptisms
On Sunday, June 14th we gathered at Crescent Park for BridgePointe’s annual Picnic and Baptisms. We were blessed with great weather and a wonderful time together — there was a bounce house for the kids, lawn games set out, and people all through the grass bowl picnicking together.
Then after singing a few worship songs, and hearing parts of their baptism stories, we witnessed 42 people walk into the water of Narragansett Bay and be baptized — that was in addition to another baptism during services in the morning! There were so many amazing stories represented — people baptizing coworkers who they invited to come to church with them, parents and children, spouses saying yes to Jesus after years of prayer.
This is what we hoped to see when we launched our two-year generosity initiative, Rising Tide. The vision was never simply about a building or a financial goal—it was about reaching more people with the Good News of Jesus and increasing our Kingdom impact. As we celebrate these 43 baptism decisions, we're reminded that God really is doing a great work among us. We praise Him for it and pray for even greater Gospel impact through BridgePointe in the days and years ahead.
We hope you enjoy the photos and stories in the grid below and ask that you keep everyone who was baptized in your prayers.
