Decades of Prayer Answered: Matthew’s Baptism

Matthew’s Baptism Story

I was raised in a Christian home, but when I was twelve I was a having a hard time and lost my faith. I began drinking and continued to drink as I got older to the point that I barely remember my first marriage. One evening a few months ago I was so sick that I could barely move. I honestly thought that I was going to die, but a supernatural light filled my apartment and I felt compelled to say the name, "Yeshua" which means, "Jesus." When I said that name, all the darkness oppressing me lifted and I felt whole for the first time. In that moment God showed me His mercy, perfect love, power, and forgiveness. I was told to read Luke 15. I did not know the book of Luke or how the chapters and verses work, but that is the passage where the prodigal son is welcomed back home, and forgiven by His Father who was waiting for him. And that confirmed to me that this supernatural experience was really from God.

Since that night, I have faced many obstacles as God has turned my life around. I feel more complete now than I ever have. I will tell anyone who will listen of the incredible name of Jesus and I know that God is all that I need.
