Generosity moves our hearts closer to God.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
– Matthew 6:21

OUR MONEY AND HEART GO HAND IN HAND

That's why we feel such intense emotions associated with money. Because our heart and money go together, generosity moves our heart toward God. We have a tendency to let money take God's place in our lives by trusting it to do for us what only God can do. Generosity is the remedy for this because it prioritizes God over money in our hearts. You can’t worship what you give away, but you can worship with what you give away.

Schedule your giving.

Consistent, percentage giving is the best way to put God first in your finances. It overcomes fear and increases faith as you follow through on your commitment to Him. One of the best ways to be consistent is to set up automated giving online. It's easy and only takes a few minutes.

Take a step on your generosity journey.

We want something for you, not from you. We want you to move closer to God and experience more of Him in your life. Generosity is like a journey and a person moves closer to God with each step. We want to provide resources and support as you take steps and celebrate with you along the way.

WHAT IS TITHING?

God instructed people to give a tithe when He was first defining His relationship with His people (Leviticus 27:30-33). Tithing meant giving God the first 10% of whatever they received as a way to recognize that everything come from God and belongs to Him. The people of the Old Testament practiced a tithe for thousands of years. Jesus affirmed the tithe (Matthew 23:33) and the first Christians showed that this was just the beginning of their generous response to all that Jesus has done for us (Acts 4:32-25, 2 Corinthians9:6-8).

In both cases, God intended for the tithe to be the primary way that the needs of His faith community are met through the generosity of His people. We believe that tithing to the church is consistent with the generosity instructed by God, affirmed by Jesus, and practiced by the first Christians. Tithing is a great starting point to trust God and contribute to His work through the church.
