At the last meeting of her Starting Point class Becca Blake decided to not wait any longer and get baptized. Growing up in the church, Caroline decided she was ready to commit to following Jesus. Reach their stories in their own words.

Here are the baptism stories of Dawn Desjardin and Owen Bangs from the Baptism Celebration on March 4th. 

Four people chose to be baptized as a public profession of their faith in Jesus last Sunday. Here are each of their stories in their own words. 

As a child I was baptized and raised Catholic. As a teen I met Pastor Mike. He ran the Shepherds club and I still have my membership card. I had no idea he gave us the experience of Christian fellowship. I just thought it was a good experience for me, meeting new people and experiencing different beliefs. Over the years I simply stopped going to church. I always believed in a higher power, I just always felt like I never fit in anywhere.

"Sometime the year before last, feeling hopeless, lost, and divorced from the self that I knew and could love, I randomly asked my dear friend Kerstyn Desjardin if she believed in God, if she attended a church. I had no reason to suspect that she would answer that she did. I don’t know, even, why I asked, especially why I asked her. But she said that she did and answered my questions about it.
