Beach Baptisms (in the rain!)
What looked like a washed-out Beach Baptism turned into a beautiful moment for our church family! On Sunday, September 13, Patrick, Frankie, and Jalyn took the plunge and were baptized at Crescent Park.

Patrick’s Story
Growing up I attended church with my family and excepted Jesus into my heart at a young age, but never celebrated that with a baptism. Though in recent years, especially after a heartbreak, I became lost in who I was, experiencing long periods of anxiety and fear of the future, and struggling with feeling peace. I have been thinking of attending a new church for some time to engage myself in a Christian community, but have put off attending because of anxieties of doing something new. After I got the courage to attend a church on my own and seek a community to be a part of, I found BridgePoint to feel very comfortable to me. I noticed that this part of me has been missing for the past several years. I feel that becoming baptized is my next step in finding who I am again and directing my faith and life in the best possible direction, while doing it in a safe community. I know that Jesus can redirect my anxious feelings and I want to continue to learn how and be a light to those around me.
Frankie’s Story
Before coming to BridgePointe and getting closer with Jesus, I was going through one of the most challenging times. I was losing hope and losing faith in myself as well as Jesus. Having Jesus in my life and putting all my faith and hope in Him has changed my life forever in ways that I never could have predicted or prepared for. A few months back my grandfather was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. As soon as I was told I started praying immediately and gave all my hope, prayer’s and faith into Jesus. No matter what happened and how long anything took, I knew it was in His hands and I had trusted him all the way to the end. Jesus definitely made more than just an impact on my life — He has changed my life in the best ways possible and guided me in the best ways possible and kept me strong with hope.
Jaylin’s Story
I am 17 years old and my whole life I’ve grown up believing in Jesus. I’m so grateful that I’ve grown up in a family where Jesus is talked about and prayed with. But I feel like there is something way deeper with Jesus that I haven’t experienced yet which I have been praying about and praying to feel. I pray that giving my life to Jesus while getting baptized will help me experience that deeper connection! Jesus has shown up for me in so many ways, whether He’s protecting me, guiding me, forgiving me, listening to me, or loving me. I know I’ve made it this far in my life because of Jesus and what He has guided me through and help me overcome. Now it’s my turn to show up for Him and give my life to Him in baptism. I cannot wait to have a fresh start in life with Christ by my side.
