Recent Baptisms
We thank God that we regularly get to see people take the step of baptism at BridgePointe. The Holy Spirit is at work among us, convicting, drawing people to the Father and equipping people to live for Jesus when they place their trust in Him!
When we had to cancel our Beach Baptisms for August 23 due to thunderstorms in the area, a few people did not want to wait and found pools and places to take the step of faith and be baptized anyway! We share each story because we celebrate each person’s decision, and invite our BP Family to celebrate and pray over those taking the steps with us. I was raised in a Christian church and home, I don’t remember not knowing and loving Jesus. However as a teen and young adult I did things my way and it was not fun. I went back and forth with going to church for years. Life wasn’t easy and there were many struggles and much heartache along my journey. It wasn’t until about 1.5 years ago that I hit my rock bottom and decided that I was giving everything to Jesus and trusting his plans for my life. Since I have surrendered I have seen the Lords work in not only my life but my families. I am excited to see what God has in store me and my family.

I am 14 and I have decided to get baptized to put a staple in my devotion to Jesus. I grew up in a “Christian” family just knowing about God but He didn’t mean anything to me. At 12 I had struggled with mental health, and wanting to give up in all. I was angry and numb and saw no purpose in life. When I was at my lowest I decided to pray and give God a try as my only hope. After that night I grew a personal relationship with him, slowing learning more about Jesus and what he has done for me and I fell in love. At 13 I put my whole life in his hands. He has changed my life and heart in so many ways. I can’t wait to keep serving him and living for him everyday. I am proud to say that I am a daughter of The King.

I was raised in a Catholic home, but those years were confusing to little me, so I didn’t really understand Jesus. As I grew older, I became selfish and prideful, caring more about how I appeared to others than how I actually acted. Later, as I began attending a Christian church, the sermons were easier to understand. I came around and started to enjoy reading the Bible and praying. God changed my attitude from selfish and prideful to caring and empathetic, and I can’t thank Him enough for that.
