Lisa’s Baptism Story

Lisa J. was baptized on Sunday, August 9th because she is a follower and believer of Jesus and wanted to make a public declaration of her faith. Please read the baptism story she shared with us below and join us in praising God and praying for Lisa as she takes this step of faith.

“Though I grew up in church, I lost my way in my late teens and twenties. My life was chaotic, filled with heartbreak and confusion. After decades of feeling utterly exhausted, I finally cried out to God: 'Why do I feel this way? I’m so sick of feeling empty and not having a purpose for my life.' That honest prayer opened the floodgates. God showed me I was running on empty, trying to control life in my own strength.

Over time, He shifted my perspective, replacing my chaos with His truth and my hurt with His grace. He has been rebuilding my life from the inside out. Through every high and low, God has never left my side. I feel Him working in me every single day— He has built me into the God-fearing woman I am today—blessing me to be a wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie, and friend. And today, I am so ready to make this public declaration of my faith and claim Jesus as my Savior through baptism.”
