BP Kids Update
Classroom Refresh and Reconfiguration
At the end of 2024, BP Kids started to refresh and remodel the classrooms. The goal was to reconfigure our spaces to create a new classroom to increase capacity and refresh the spaces to make them more fun and inviting for our kids. Through the work of dedicated hands and hearts, the following has been accomplished:
The one large nursery was turned into two classrooms by the addition of a new wall and new door to the new room.
The entrance to the elementary space was enlarged, concrete blocks were dry-walled over, and a new storage closet was created where a temporary curtain hid event storage.
All the walls were freshly painted and new rugs replaced old mismatched ones.
The classroom spaces have been redesigned with input from teachers to have different activity areas and quiet spaces.
There’s still more work to be done, but we have successfully moved classrooms to create more capacity for our growing BP Kids numbers. In the new configuration, Nursery, Toddler, and PreK-K are in three rooms off the hallway before the door to the backspace. This gives us an improved elementary space that will be able to split our 1st through 5th-grade class into two classrooms: an early elementary and an upper elementary.

We moved a mountain to create a new classroom, can you help us open it?
We are ready to split our bulging elementary classroom into two classes — but we need your help.
For years there was a mountain mural on the wall in the back right classroom. This Mountain room was home to our PreK-K class. The mountain has been painted over and the class has moved into a room off the hallway. As Ellen says, “We’ve literally moved a mountain!" — to create the opportunity to have new capacity in our elementary classrooms. We’ve done our part and now the room sits ready to go.
We need to add 12 people to the BP Kids team in order to open this new classroom
Two teachers at each service, three services, and serving every other week, means we need to add 12 people to the BP Kids team in order to open up this classroom. Here are some reasons we think YOU might enjoy serving with BP Kids:
A fun, Biblical curriculum guides your time in the classroom. It’s easy to follow, and rewarding to watch lightbulbs go off in kids’ hearts and minds as they learn about Jesus.
The classrooms are team-taught, you’re not on your own and receive support from leadership.
This team prays hard and plays hard — get to know other people in the BP family as you serve alongside them. There really is no better way to get connected!
