Dear Parents and Guardians,

My name is Nelson Guimaraes and it is with thankfulness to the Lord that I now begin my journey here at BridgePointe Christian Church, serving as the new BP Students Director.

I have been a member and servant of BridgePointe for four years, along with my wife Laura, who serves with the BP Kids team, and my eight-year-old daughter Anna.

It is important to me that you know the heart I have for our students. I love them. Whether I know them yet or not, I sincerely love them. I pray I can play a part in teaching and equipping them to thrive in this world and to love Jesus with reckless abandon. I believe my role is to come beside you, parents and guardians, and help you guide them through this transformative time in their lives.

It is the goal of BP Students to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where our students will learn how to live out the Gospel in their daily lives. Learning to worship God with their whole hearts, and building lasting supportive relationships within a Christ-minded community. I want to challenge and encourage you to help your students make Student Group a priority. I would not make this challenge if I did not believe in the lasting impact that Student Group can make on their relationship with Jesus. I would also like to invite you as parents and guardians to get involved and serve with the BP Students team. Your participation would be an amazing example to your students.

I feel blessed and excited to begin this journey as a church family. If there is any way I can better serve you or your students, please feel free to contact me. My door is always open. I can’t wait to get to know you and your students as we move forward in this adventure.
