The First Wave of Rising Tide
BP Kids walked into the service with balloons and were placed in the correct order by Ezekiel to reveal the committed total!
Getting close to our goal!
Sunday, March 29th marked the first day of our two-year Rising Tide giving initiative and the first wave of our collective giving. During the giving moment, Ezekiel shared that we are starting Rising Tide with a total of $4,619,074 in committed and expected giving over the next two years.
This total includes all the Rising Tide commitments we have received to date, with the addition of current recurring givers that did not make a commitment and expected new giving that we normally budget for. All together, this brings us to 92% of our goal of $5 million in giving over the next two years on day one!
As we have said since the beginning, the financial goal is the second goal. Our first goal is 100% participation because we want everyone who calls BridgePointe home to say “yes” to being a part of the work God is doing among us. And have been so encouraged by the steps of generosity, trust and surrender that we see taking place!
Here are some numbers Ezekiel shared that show people taking steps of faith on their generosity journey:
28 households chose to start giving for the first time
22 households set up a new recurring online gift
188 households shared a two-year commitment to Rising Tide with us, with almost all of them committing to increase their giving
We can’t wait to see the Gospel impact our collective giving will have on our church and the generations to come after us!
Please continue to keep praying for God to provide the right facility for us to increase our reach and impact right here in the heart of the East Bay. And while we do not have more to share at the moment, we are planning on sharing a facilities search update after Easter — stay tuned!
