Worship Arts Leadership Transition

Rachel and Jared share an important announcement regarding Rachel's leadership of BridgePointe's worship arts ministry.

Rachel Cowgur is stepping away from her role as Worship Arts Director. Since BridgePointe began in 2013, Rachel has served in various volunteer and staff leadership roles. For the last 10 years, she has led BridgePointe’s worship arts ministry, initially as a part-time volunteer and for the last several years as a full-time staff member. She has enjoyed leading the members of her amazing team and has been honored to lead the people of BridgePointe to worship our King week after week.

Over the years, the needs of her family and the demands of the ministry have increased. Earlier this year, she decided to step away from her responsibilities as Worship Arts Director to enter a season of rest from the years of ministry and to focus more on the needs of her family. The Spirit has confirmed this decision with a mixture of gratitude for the years in this role and peace about stepping away from it.

Rachel will continue to serve in this role through the end of June, with her final Sunday being June 29. Beyond that, she is eager to continue to be a part of BridgePointe with Jared and their kids and explore new ways to serve and love this church family. She thanks you in advance for your love and support through this transition.

The shepherd and staff teams plan to honor Rachel on Sunday, June 29, with gratitude and prayer. There will also be a personal way for people to express their appreciation and support for her on that day. We hope you join us on that special day to express our gratitude for her faithful leadership and service to the church.

The Worship Arts Director position is currently open for applications and interviews. Please join us in praying for God to provide the person to continue the legacy of worship that Rachel and her team have contributed to for BridgePointe.
