Baptism Stories: Beatrice, Josh, Ben, Kayla, Lynda & Rosemarie

Sunday, October 12th, six people were baptized at the end of our second and third service declaring their commitment to Jesus and living with Him as King of their lives. Please take a moment to read their stories in their own words and join us in praying for them as they take this important step of faith. If you are interested in learning more about what this step means, visit our Baptism page.

Beatrice S.

Beatrice shared with us that giving her life to Jesus is the most important step she’s ever taken. Before knowing Him, she often felt empty, lost, and burdened by trying to carry everything on her own. She searched for peace and purpose in many things, but nothing truly satisfied her.

When Beatrice surrendered her life to Jesus, everything changed. She no longer feels alone - She knows He is with her every step of the way. He’s given her peace where there used to be anxiety, strength in weakness, and hope in hopelessness. Today, she lives with purpose and joy, knowing she is loved, forgiven, and made new in Christ.

I had a rough childhood growing up. About four months ago my mom Sarah invited me to my first BP Family service and I've never felt anything like it. It's like the Holy Spirit took over my body and I hugged my mom for about five minutes while I cried because Jesus touched me in a way I've never felt before.

I really want to say thank you to Jared  and Nelson for showing me faith in an easy to understand way. Thanks to the BP Family I'm giving my heart, soul and body to Jesus our Saviour.

I’m getting baptized today because Jesus has truly changed my life. He’s pulled me out of battles that I myself could not have pulled myself out of.

Before giving my life to Jesus I found myself living in sin. I battled with addictions I was not proud of, I was judging others, constantly living in negativity, and most importantly I was living for all the worldly things around me. It took the Lord finding me when I truly needed it most for me to finally change those things about myself. Giving my life to Christ was by far the best and easiest decision I have ever made and I truly couldn’t imagine my life without Him. I encourage all those around me who are not believers to take a dive into the world of Christ for themselves, and see how much he really has to offer.”

All my life I have always had a deep faith in Jesus. Due to certain circumstances in my life I had fallen away and was living for the world – drinking a lot and making all the wrong choices. I was stuck in a pattern of feeling defeated and consumed by regret and shame. When I couldn't forgive myself, Jesus reminded me He had never left me and was waiting with open arms.

That night I confessed my sins to Jesus and by the grace of God in an instant all the guilt and shame I was feeling was gone. From that moment on, I have changed my life around and am proud to say I will never be that person again. I am made new in Christ Jesus. For a while now I have had a pull on my heart to get baptized. I was waiting for my life to be perfect before taking this step, but Jesus said come as you are, so here I am.
Matt 6:33 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

I love the Lord because He has always been a part of my life. He’s healed me in so many ways, and I’m so thankful for His grace. That’s why I want to recommit my life to Him through baptism.

Even when I fall short, God never turns away. He meets me where I am, guiding and redirecting me with love and without shame. Now that I understand the true meaning of baptism, I’m ready to walk with the Lord on a righteous path. I know He sees me, loves me, and He is always with me.

I want to recommit my life to the Lord. For He has sacrificed His life for us, in showing my gratitude I thought why not be baptized. We all fall short, but the Lord loves us so much that He comes in the midst of it all to help guide and redirect us with no shame. I couldn’t think of a better father than our Holy Father. Now that I am older and know the true meaning of baptism I am “all in” to walk with the Lord on a righteous path. Lord I know you see me, I know you love me, and I know you are always with me. Amen!
