Child Dedication - Oct 26
On Sunday, October 26, we celebrated the commitment of four families to raise their children to know and love Jesus. If you were not at the 11:45 am service on Sunday, you can watch the clip of the child dedication here. It’s a special moment in their families, and for all of us in the BP Family as well. Celebrate with us and pray for these parents and their children!
The Baldwin family dedicates Hunter
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” — Romans 12:2
Chris and Hannah also share the following prayer:
“Hunter, today we dedicate your life back to God. Our deepest desire is that you choose to follow Jesus and accept Him as the King of your life. With the love and support of our family, friends, and church body, we commit to leading you in a way that continually points you toward Christ. We are so grateful to be your parents and feel incredibly blessed to call you our son. We can’t wait to watch you grow and discover God’s purpose for your life.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for entrusting us with the precious gift of our son, Hunter. Grant us wisdom and discernment as we guide him in his walk with You. Help us to build a firm foundation of faith through our example, commitment, and prayer, that he may grow to know, love, and serve You wholeheartedly. May Hunter be set apart for Your purposes, and walk boldly in the plans You have prepared for him. In Jesus name, amen.”
The Farinacci family dedicates Jamie
“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. “
— Deuteronomy 6:5–7
Jamie’s mother Ashlyn also shares the following prayer:
“I promise to raise my son to love the lord and teach him the sacrifice Jesus made so that we can one day spend eternity with him. I pray as a single mom and Jamie's only parent that I truly make Jesus proud of the mother I am and how I raise him. I pray that God gives me the strength I need when I need it. Since my son has been born I have changed how I live my life to be an example to my son of how God wants us to live our life and navigate this world. I pray that God brings peace and happiness to my son's life. I pray that God gives him strength and helps him to feel the strong bonds and closeness with the male role models God has given him.Thank you Jesus for this precious boy.”
The Fonseca family dedicates Reyna
“Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
1 Corinthians 13:4–7 (NIV)
Reyna’s mother Carlene shares the following prayer:
“Dear Lord, thank You for blessing me with Reyna — my greatest teacher and the purest reflection of Your love. From the moment she entered this world, she has radiated light, joy, and an endless capacity to love. Her heart reminds me daily that love is not just something we feel — it’s something we live.
As her mother, I pray that she continues to grow surrounded by grace, laughter, and the courage to love boldly. May she never lose her spark, her curiosity, or her ability to see beauty in the small things.
Lord, help me to model patience, compassion, and strength as I raise her. May our home always be filled with warmth, forgiveness, and joy. Let Reyna’s love ripple out into the world, touching every heart she meets.”
The Frey family dedicates their son and daughter
Parents Josh and Elise chose Joshua 1:9 as the verse for Jack:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9
And they chose Jeremiah 29:11 for their daughter Lyla:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”— Jeremiah 29:11
