Help for those who struggle

This past Sunday in our Cleaning House series we entered “Into the Kitchen,” and discussed how we consume food and drink and how it can effect our relationship with God and overall health. We talked about how we want eating and drinking to prompt us to praise God for how He provides, and how we want to avoid the extremes of over-consuming or over-controlling.

However, we know it’s not that simple. Alcoholism and eating disorders are very real struggles for many. Food and drink, good gifts from God, can become our source of comfort and consume our attention. When they take God’s place in our life they can become unhealthy fast. Jesus offers us a better way.

At BridgePointe we are imperfect people moving towards health and wholeness in Jesus. If eating or drinking is a source of struggle for you we want you to know you aren’t alone. If you walked away from the message feeling triggered or feeling the weight of struggle, please know we are here for you. Reach out to one of our pastors and we would love to talk with you. We also recommend these resources and groups to you in your journey.
