On Sunday March 31st, student Alison Holmer was baptized in the morning, and Amy B. and Anthony K. were baptized in the 5pm service. Here are their stories in their own words.
Alison H.
I started coming to BridgePointe in September 2014. At first, I wasn’t very excited about coming to church and sometimes I considered it a chore. I was going through some tough things, so I didn’t think there was anything church or the student group could offer me.
Jared and Jacob spoke to my mom, and my mom convinced me to try out student ministry–at least once, she said. I was surprised to discover that I enjoyed it so much. I couldn’t believe it – I actually looked forward to learning about God!
I came back a few weeks ago from the Deep Freeze retreat with the BridgePointe Student group. I now understand that God is with me always, not just on Sundays and Wednesday nights, and not just when I go on retreats. He’s not far away at all. He’s with me all the time, wants to be with me, and I can always call on Him for help. I want the world to know that I love God and that I look forward to what the future brings with Him.
Thank you to Jacob, Jordan, Destiney, Mike, Shannon, my Mom, and all my friends in student ministry who helped me on my journey.
Thank you for praying for me. I am ONE

We started coming to BridgePointe after being familiar with church but never really being connected. Faith has come alive for us at BridgePointe. We’ve seen God’s love through people and have a clear picture of who Jesus is.
We believe Jesus is the son of God and we want to follow him. Jesus’ ways are better than ours and trust His ways are better than ours. We know we will be the kind of people we are supposed to be with Jesus. We want to grow closer to God day by day and love those around us. We dedicate our marriage and all of our life to Him. Thank you for praying for us. We are ONE.
