Here is the Devotional Guide for the book of Hosea, as a part of week two in our God Is... series. This week we look at how God offers the nation of Israel a picture of unfailing faithfulness through the life of the prophet Hosea.

God called His servant Hosea to marry an unfaithful woman and continue to welcome her in his home. This was as unimaginable then as it is now. With Hosea’s undeserved faithfulness as the backdrop, God reminds Israel of His own faithfulness in the midst of their idolatry, sin, and rebellion.

Like Israel, our faithfulness is inconsistent at best. But God’s faithfulness is not dependent on us. He never gives up on us and always welcomes us home. In fact, He loves faithfully with the hope that we will be won back by His never-stopping love. It is our prayer that as we study God's faithfulness to us this week, we can respond with renewed faithfulness of our own.
