First Day of Lent

The First Day of Lent is a self-guided experience with elements of scripture reading, reflection, prayer and communion that will help you start off the season of Lent with us. BridgePointe will be open 7am–7pm and we invite you to stop by when you are able. We suggest you give yourself 30 minutes to an hour to go through the elements we have prepared for you. Childcare will be available from 4-7 pm. Elementary aged kids and older are encouraged to participate with you.

Lent is a 40 day period of mindfulness and spiritual preparation before Easter. During this time we use the practices of Bible reading, prayer, and fasting to bring us closer to Jesus. Our theme this year is Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11). You don’t need to know anything about Lent in order to participate in this time of reflection with us. We hope you join us!
