Baptism Stories 2/15

Fallon, Jessica, and Olivia were baptized at the end of the third service this past Sunday, February 15th. God is at work among us drawing people back to himself. We invite you to read their baptism stories in this post, and join us in praying for them!

Fallon

Fallon says that during a difficult season of her life, she felt deeply lost and overwhelmed. On her birthday, September 14, she sensed God calling her to return to Him. She reached out to her son's grandmother, who encouraged her to attend church, and Fallon knew that was a sign from God—that it was time to come home.

Despite struggling with anxiety, Fallon chose to walk into BridgePointe on her own. She didn’t let fear stop her. She felt welcomed, the message was clear, and she experienced prayer from Rachel, a member of the prayer team, that deeply touched her heart. Fallon felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and knew that God hears her when she prays.

Today, Fallon is being baptized because she wants to give her life fully to God, reconnect with Him, and trust Him completely. She is grateful for His goodness and the new beginning He is giving her.

Jessica

Jessica was raised in the Catholic faith and baptized as a child, but as she grew older, her relationship with God became more traditional than personal. Through life’s challenges, the Lord stirred a deeper desire for Him in her heart.

In September of 2019, Jessica began attending BridgePointe Church, where her faith in Jesus Christ has continued to grow through worship, the study of God’s Word, and meaningful community. She now senses the Holy Spirit calling her into a season of full commitment to Christ.

Today, Jessica is choosing baptism as an act of obedience and a public declaration that Jesus Christ is her Lord and Savior. She believes this moment marks the beginning of a new chapter in her walk with Him.

Olivia

Olivia says she has been a Christian her entire life, but as an adult she began questioning her relationship with God. She spent years trying to find a church to call home, and after several discouraging experiences, she began wondering what it truly meant to have a relationship with Jesus. This past summer, she felt like she had given up and found herself feeling lost and alone.

Then, in the most unorthodox way, Jesus found her and brought her back. Through a new friendship, she was invited to BridgePointe, and from the moment she walked in, she knew she was home. She felt Jesus everywhere and was deeply moved. Soon after, she met an inspiring woman and joined a young women’s group, where her faith has continued to grow through community and studying God’s Word together.

Over the past eight months, Olivia says Jesus has done so much in her life, and she feels His presence with her every day. She knows His love for her is everlasting, and today she feels blessed to publicly make this commitment to Him.

Today, she is being baptized to declare that His love for her is everlasting and that she is fully committing her life to Him.
