Discipling children and is a big responsibility. For that reason, God intends for it to be a work that involves family, church, and God Himself. The family and church work together to pray, teach, model and inspire faith in the next generation. At the same time, there is a work of belief, conviction, and empowerment that only God can do. Child Dedication is a significant milestone because it represents the commitment of the family and the church to do their part and a prayer for God to work in the life of the child so that he or she will grow to become a disciple of Jesus.
