State guidance and COVID-19 restrictions are changing rapidly. Rhode Island has followed CDC guidance dropping the mask mandate for people who are fully vaccinated. Starting this weekend (5/23) we are updating our policy to match – individuals who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear a mask during worship at BridgePointe.
To continue to promote a safe & healthy environment for all, we ask that everyone else continues to wear a mask during worship. We realize that everyone’s situation is different and that we all need time and grace to adjust to this new normal. We are hopeful that this is a step towards fully lifted restrictions and a day not so far away when we can worship together without requiring masks.
Our goal for the past year has been to adhere to the guidelines set by local and federal authorities, with honesty, transparency and love for each other. While we may all be tired after a year of restrictions, sickness, quarantines, and relational tension, now is not the time to grow weary in doing our best to live the way Christ has called us to live. We are called us to live in step with the Spirit , showing love and grace for one another, with integrity and purity, not judging or becoming a stumbling block for others in our words and deeds.
There are strong opinions on all sides of this change, please remember we are trying to do our best. Thank you for your understanding, support and willingness to let God shape and mold us through the friction and adversity this pandemic has brought. We are very grateful to be following after Jesus together with you. As a reminder, the staff is always available to answer questions, hear your thoughts and help you any way we can. Please reach out to us if you need to.
Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. - Romans 12:10
