My life before Jesus was not happy; I didn’t feel like I had a purpose. But since I made the decision to follow Jesus, I have felt empowered and content. It was when I first saw a baptism at BridgePointe that I decided it was something to consider. In the middle of December 2020 that I decided that I needed to do this for myself and for my family. I need to be a role model for those around me, and in order to do that, this physical expression of my dedication to Christ is vital. When I was at my old Catholic church, baptism was less of a physical expression of dedication, and more of an admittance into a club, or something to that degree. But after first seeing a Christian baptism at BridgePointe, I knew that it was a special and important piece of someone’s relationship with God.
I know that after this moment, I will be able to feel God‘s love unlike any time prior. Aside from being a part of the BridgePointe family, I will have entered a family of Christ-loving people who share the same values and purpose as me, and that family is built on God’s love. Just as God’s love can hold an infinite amount of people together, I am confident that God‘s love can do anything for me, as I work towards spreading His mission of peace and love among the people around me. Thank you for praying for me, I am One.
