Student Baptism: Sam's Story

I've been going to church for as long as I can remember. For the most part, I always enjoyed it. Seeing my friends, going to Sunday school when I was little, and playing with my friends afterwards. I always remembered enjoying church. But, sometimes I didn't really understand the message. I knew the basics: God is good, He loves me, He died for my sins, and He’s there for me. I never really got anything deeper than that. It wasn't until after my parents made the decision to start coming to BridgePointe that I really started to understand who God was. I started going to the student group here. They had good messages that actually piqued my interest about following Jesus. I paid attention more and asked questions. I went to some retreats and attended activities that I loved. I finally started to get the whole picture of who God was. After watching many friends and other members of the church get baptized, I decided that I was ready too. Many things led me to where I am today: Friends, Family, the church community, but most importantly Jesus. Thank you for praying for me, I am ONE.
