Due to Winter Storm Neptune, we are canceling all services for tomorrow. Snow will continue through the morning with blowing wind and bitter cold. So, stay home, stay safe, and stay warm.
Gathering together is important to our faith, which is why Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
But when that is not possible (due to winter’s fury), here are some ways that you can still worship God right where you are, whether it’s with your family or on your own:
- Worship—Listen to the songs we were going to sing this weekend: I Have a Hope (Tommy Walker), Our God (Chris Tomlin), Cornerstone (Hillsong), I Will Follow (Chris Tomlin), and The Wonderful Cross (Chris Tomlin).
- Scripture—Read 1 Corinthians 13. Reflect on what this reveals about God’s love for us and the love we should have for others. Respond to God in prayer
- Communion—Read Galatians 5:6-11 and take communion. If you don’t have grape juice and crackers, be creative with what you have.
- Give—Do this online. This act of worship expresses devotion to God and enables the church to carry out His mission.
I will miss seeing you tomorrow, but looking forward to being together again next Sunday!
