Mid-Year Financial Update
BridgePointe Family,
When creating the budget for 2022, we were aggressive in allocating funds to care for people and create environments for people to grow as disciples. Our hope was that emerging from the harder days of the pandemic and returning to a new normal would create an opportunity to recharge our mission of reaching the community with the Gospel. I am grateful to look back and see that this year, we have seen just that. We asked each of you as disciples of Jesus to do your part to strengthen the church by connecting, serving and giving. And you stepped up!
I am grateful to have the opportunity to share with you how God has blessed BridgePointe this year through your faithfulness and generosity.
Connect
Over the past six months, our average in-person attendance increased 25% compared to 2021. Our classroom attendance is growing, more students are participating in our student group and more adults are choosing to be part of small groups and classes. If you are looking for a way to connect, I encourage you to take advantage of the summer and come hang out with your church at one of our upcoming events.
Serve
During the month of February we made an invitation to those who were not yet serving to join a serve team. Since that time we have seen 30 people join a serve team and use their gifts and talents to help more people become disciples of Jesus. If you are not yet serving, don’t worry, we always have room for you to join a serve team.
Give
Based on the data through the end of June, our collective generosity has surpassed our projections by 8%. This has allowed us to continue to give generously to our outreach partners including City Coast Church which will be launching in Fairfield County Connecticut this fall! Read our last update to learn more about them and our other outreach partners.
If you chose to give this year, you can access your year to date giving statement by logging into your profile on our giving page. If you have not yet made a commitment to give to BridgePointe, I invite you to do so. Your generosity changes lives! If you have any questions or concerns, please email giving@bpri.church.
I’m also pleased to report that our efforts to steward the finances of the church have resulted in expenses being 6% under budget. The faithfulness and generosity of the church has enabled ministry directors to launch new ministries, engage the community, and create more environments for people to grow as disciples. We were able to launch BP Men and BP Women this year. These ministries help men and women to connect, serve the community, and grow as disciples. The return of BP’s annual Egg Hunt and Family Festival provided much needed encouragement for our community and a fun event that many families had missed when we altered our plans due to COVID.
I praise God for your generosity and feel blessed to be part of such a generous church. If you have chosen to strengthen His church, I want to say thank you! Through your faithfulness, God accomplishes a work of eternal significance.
Strengthening His Church,
Ezekiel Payne
